I have been building strategies for nearly 20 years. I am a technologist at heart and hold an MBA specialising in Quantitative Modelling.

2. What is the difference between the Raw and Darwinex strategies?

The Raw strategy shows the performance of my personal live trading account — it cannot be invested in.

The Darwinex strategy is an investable, risk-normalised asset based on my trading. Darwinex manages regulation and compliance and protects investors by normalising volatility and position sizing.

3. Can I invest directly into the Raw strategy?

No. Only the Darwinex version is investable.

4. Is this a scalping strategy?

No. It is a scalable, multi-hour to multi-day swing strategy.

5. How often does the strategy trade?

The strategy is active most days.

6. Does the strategy hold trades over the weekend?

Yes. Weekend holding increases exposure to gap events but statistically increases long-term performance.

7. What drawdowns should I expect?

Backtesting over 20+ years shows a maximum drawdown around 16%. Real drawdowns can be larger — the worst drawdown is usually the one yet to come.

8. What returns can I expect?

There are no guarantees. You may see no returns at all.

9. Will there be losing days, weeks or years?

Yes. Losing periods appear across all timeframes, including possibly a full year.

10. What else should I know?

This is high-risk. Never invest money you cannot afford to lose.
